What is Secure Erasing?

When you delete a file from Windows, Windows just mark the file as deleted in file allocation table, but the data of the file is still in your hard disk, there are many tools available which can let others easily recover your sensitive files. Privacy Protector can overwrite file with character zeros, ones and random numbers.

Privacy Protector implements the US Department of Defense DOD 5220.22-M and NSA clearing and sanitizing standard, once deleted with Privacy Protector, your file data is gone forever and can not be recovered. <Top>

Why do the some browser history still there after erasing?

It is strongly recommended that you shutdown all the programs that you want to erase, because some tracks can not be erased when these programs are running. For MSN, Opera and Netscape/Mozilla, even you close all the windows of them, maybe their icon still on the system tray (lower right of the screen). Please check the system tray (lower right of your screen) to see if there is an icon of them, if you can find, you need to right click on it and close it before cleaning. <Top>

What is Boss Key ?

Boss Key lets you to hide/show the browser windows and folder windows immediately by pressing the Hotkey Windows key +Z or Windows key + shift + Z. It's very useful when you are surfing some website , and then someone ( your boss or everyone you don't want to see your screen) walks in, you just press the Windows key and Z  keys, the browser windows and folder windows will all disappear, and when they go, you can press Windows key +shift +Z, these screen will show again. <Top>

How can I uninstall Privacy Protector?

There are two ways to uninstall Privacy Protector:
1. Make sure Privacy Protector is Closed, Right Click on the System Tray Icon (next to your clock) and click exit.

Before the installation, please see
